ABOUT ASMR

If you DO know what ASMR is, then you’re you’re at the right place. If you DO NOT know what ASMR is, then there is a chance you have experienced it and never knew it. Or, you might just be worthless and have never felt this amazing phenomenon.

Really though, this blog is geared solely toward understanding ASMR, making new ASMR news available, reviews of “ASMrtists” from YouTube, all that ASMR jazz.

Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) is apparently a Neologism which is “the name for a relatively new or isolated term, word, or phrase that may be in the process of entering common use, but that has not yet been accepted into mainstream language.” So, by being labeled with this crazy word, you should understand that ASMR is something that a lot of people don’t know about or understand.

The easiest way to explain ASMR is to call it attention induced euphoria. You watch someone draw a picture and you get this little, tingly, brain massage that kinda runs up your neck. The sounds they make with their mouths when they’re drawing- clicking, wet lips pulling apart. The scratch of the pencil on the paper, almost complete silence while all these things are going on. You are completely fixated on this person drawing a picture, its like crack, you cant stop watching and you only want more. This makes me sound like some crazy stalker dude, but I guarantee you that if you have read this, and it makes sense to you, then you’re probably nodding your head right now. “I know exactly what this dude is talking about!”

Buckle up for some ASMR stuff! Again, that’s what this blog is about. If you don’t completely understand, just keep reading.
